Have you ever wondered what happens to the black children, who lost their father through violence?

Consider the transformative potential we unlock through our mentor program for black children who have experienced the heartbreaking loss of a father to violence. In instances of black-on-black crime, where one father is tragically taken away, and another faces incarceration, we recognize the pressing need for positive male role models to guide these children toward a future filled with promise.

Our mentorship initiative is designed to be a beacon of hope, matching these resilient children with dedicated father figures who stand ready to fulfill vital parenting roles. The objective is clear: to empower these young souls, nurturing their potential and helping them reach the pinnacle of their capabilities despite the challenges they've encountered.

Through carefully crafted mentorship pairings, we aspire to create a supportive environment akin to the positive influence of a father. Our mentors go beyond traditional roles, offering not just guidance but also coaching and unwavering encouragement. By embodying the principles of responsible parenting, our mentors become catalysts for breaking the cycle of negative consequences that can affect black boys and men without positive male role models.

Our promise is one of commitment to the well-being, resilience, and success of these young black boys. By instilling hope and providing steadfast support, we aim to empower them to overcome adversities and carve out a future filled with positive possibilities.

If you seek more details or have additional inquiries about our uplifting mentor program, feel free to ask. We are dedicated to making a lasting, positive impact in the lives of these children, offering them a promising path forward.

We proudly facilitate black parent support groups, providing a welcoming space for individuals to come together, share experiences, and forge connections with fellow black parents. These groups serve as a valuable resource, offering both weekly and bi-weekly meetings to accommodate various schedules. The gatherings are designed to be gender-specific, allowing participants to engage with others who share similar parenting roles and experiences.

The primary goal of our support groups is to create a nurturing environment where black parents can freely exchange thoughts and ideas. Whether discussing the challenges of parenting or celebrating successes, these gatherings are a venue for mutual support and stress relief. The option to use the program core concepts is available, depending on the preferences of the participants, allowing for a flexible and tailored approach to addressing individual needs.

Anonymity is respected within our support groups, offering a foundation where participants can share ideas openly and seek support without reservations. Each group operates based on criteria set out by the Academy, ensuring a structured and supportive framework. Additionally, these groups may or may not be physically located within the communities we serve, with consideration given to accessibility and convenience for participants.

Importantly, our support groups extend their reach to include those caring for foster black children. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by foster parents and caretakers, we aim to provide a supportive community where they can share insights and receive encouragement.

In summary, our black parent support groups are dynamic and inclusive, fostering a sense of community among black parents. Whether weekly or bi-weekly, these gatherings are designed to be flexible and accommodating, with the overarching goal of offering a supportive space for the diverse parenting journeys within our communities. If you have specific inquiries or would like more details, feel free to ask.
